Solo Summary

Fish are an amazing marine animal. It has many functions, it can jump, dive, duck, hover, swim, and breathe under water. It can be very flexible and agile.

The caudal fin is the main propelling fin on the fish’s body. The anal fin is the fin that makes the fish stable. The pectoral fin is the fin that allows the fish to move side to side.

If the fish didn’t have a nostril it would not be able to locate its food. If fish lose their caudal fin it would not be able to move.

A fish moves like a ballerina in the water.

I think fish are amazing because it can do lots of things.

The Lion's Mane Jellyfish

The Lion's Mane Jellyfish is one of the largest jellyfish in the world! Its body loks like a bell or an umbrella with long trailing tentacles. A jellyfish does not have a skeleton or a brain. A jellyfish moves by pumping water in and out of their body. Their mouth is underneath their body. A Lion's Mane Jellyfish  has lots of poisonous tentacals underneath its body. A Lion's Mane Jellyfish uses its tentacles to sting and paralise fish swimming by. A Lion's Mane Jellyfish can even sting people when it's washed up on the shore. The Lion's Mane Jelyyfish is taller than an adult human being!!!!

Year 6 camp B.N.

Yes! We're going to camp as the bus kicks off and the parents farewell us. After the bus ride we had morning tea then went on the ferry to camp. Afterwards we had a walk to the beach. The walk to the beach was fun. Then we had a swim and a group of people made a giant spongebob. On the walk back Luke fell over. Also on the walk back I drank all my water. After the walk we assembled on the deck. At night Time Daniel was sleep talking it was hard to sleep.
The next day we had Fitness. The fitness trail had Monkey bars, walking planks, Seesaw and Over and unders.
After fitness we had breakfest, I had  Weet-bix it was Yum.
The next day I really disliked it because at night we did this thing that was supposed to be scary but it wasn't, it was the Burma Trail.
On Thursday we had an activity day, first we did Raft making. Our group was the first group to make it around the pontoon and back without capsizing. Afterwards we had Morning tea and then we went off to Bivoac making, it was fun but our bivoac was not water proof. The other teams bivouac was water proof. Then we had lunch. Last we had Sailing it was fun expet C.S. was Hogging the Tiller and wouldn't swap places. Finally dinner, we had beef,peas,carrots,corn,syrup and bread.
The next day we started packing our suit cases up. We had Breakfest next.  I had Weet-bix and chocolate milk. After we packed our bags onto the ferry and watched Garfield. On the ride back to Sandspit on the ferry  I went inside instead of going up the top again. When we got on the bus at Sandspit I put my bag at the back but a bunch of girls stole my spot by pushing my bag off. When we got back to school it was around 4:20 pm in the afternoon. We got off the bus and I got my stuff and went home.
