SOLO SUMMARY

Wow what amazing different types of fish there are. After learning about parts of a fish I would probably never have thought about fish before.

It would be dangerous for a fish not to have a lateral line because it would not be able to sense vibrations in the water. E. g if a big person walked in a room you would feel a big vibration, but if it was a light person you probably would be less likely to feel them walk in the room.

Did you know if that if a fish lost their eyes it wouldn’t matter, on the other hand if a fish lost its nostrils they would die of starvation because they would not be able to sense their prey.

I think an eye on a fish is a decoration because a fish’s eye sight is not very good.

Ahh the memories! I remember when I was little kid,  we went snorkelling to Goat island. We saw lots of fish but manly snapper YUM!

Fish are amazing not just to eat but to learn about too. Did you know that a sea horse has gills and more.

  The amazing fish

The fish is a marine animal and it has many functions. It can dive, steer, even spin.

A fish has many parts which help it to function properly, for example, a fish’s nostril and lateral line help it to sense vibrations in the water whether it is food or a predator. It also helps if it has a pelvic fin so it can steer stop and even hover.

The fish would not be able to manoeuvre very well if it didn’t   have an anal fin because it needs to have stibilty while it is swimming and if this amazing animal didn’t have a pectoral fin the fish could not swim in any direction like left or right.

Fish are amazing creatures, they remind me of the time when I went to Mt Maunganui and I walked through a fresh water stream with snapper and big gold fish.

I think that fish are amazing creatures because they give us food and they are a real help to the environment.

 The Fish

The fish is an amazing marine animal that can breathe under water, swim, dive, jump, hover and duck.

The fish is made up of many parts to help it survive. Its nostrils are important to them because they can help the fish to find its food. The fish can do lots of things with all the parts of its body.

If the fish didn’t have an operculum, it won’t be able to breath and will die. This is because the operculum protects the gills and the gills are for breathing. If the fish didn’t have a pelvic fin, it won’t be able to steer, stop, or hover. Without these important parts, the fish won’t be able to survive.

The last time I saw a fish was when I went to Rotorua and I saw lots of fish swimming in a huge pond surrounded by plants and rocks. There were big ones, small ones and colourful ones.

I think that fish are amazing creatures because they are made of all kinds of different parts and can do all sorts of things, like swimming, diving, and hovering and can breathe under water.

They are good at doing lots of things under water like catching fish and swimming away from dangerous sea creatures. I think that fish are an amazing and clever sea animal.

           Fish Summary

The fish is an amazing marine animal. So I’m going to tell you about it. Fish can do lots of amazing things underwater like dive, swim, duck and hover. The two interesting parts of a fish are the nose and the caudal fin.

The caudal fin helps the fish swim, jump, stop and hover. The nostril helps the fish to sense danger. Fish don’t really need eyes because they mainly use their nose to sense where they are going. Besides they will look very weird and scary.

If fish don’t have a caudal fin they wouldn’t be able to swim and they will sink like a anchor. If they don’t have nostrils they won’t be able to find their food and they won’t be able to sense their way to places and its enemy.

When I went to Kelly Tarltons last week we saw a Pigfish. When I saw them swimming they were using their caudal fin to swim and move around. It also reminds me of a person doing freestyle swimming.

I think fish are well made because they can use their senses to go places, and use their caudal fin to move. I think that it’s cool if you remove its eyes because it can still sense things and go places. Any way if they didn’t have eyes they would look very creepy.

A fish is an amazing creature. It lives in a dangerous, dark place called the ocean. It has many predators such as a shark or a larger fish, but often lives to an old age. Why? I will tell explain why the fish functions so well in water.

Firstly it has a caudal fin located on the back of the fish. The caudal fin helps to propel the fish in the water. So it can go forward and back. If it was removed, the fish would not be able to go forward or back. Secondly it has 2 dorsal fins located on the top of the fish. The first dorsal fin is hard but the second is softer. The dorsal fins are used for stability while swimming. If a fish didn’t have dorsal fins it would lose stability and fall over and die. The fish has 2 pectoral fins, one on both sides of the fish. They are used to go from side to side. If this was removed it would not be able to go from side to side. It would only go forward and back.

Last time I went to Australia I went snorkelling, we saw tonnes of colourful fish propelling along and ducking and diving and hovering.

Overall fish are so awesome because they have so many fins and they do so many different tricks and things.

A very cool fish

This is a very cool fish and I am going to tell you about it. The nostrils on the fish help it to seek prey. If a fish didn’t have nostrils it won’t be able to seek pray. And if a fish didn’t have a caudal fin it won’t be able to move fast. It moves like a worm to. I think fish are awesome because they can seek prey from their nostrils.

Why? I will explain why fish function so well in the water.

Firstly, it has a caudal fin at the back of the body that helps propel it in the water to move it forward. It also has an operculum that protects the gills. Fish use gills to breathe. It also has another fin called the pelvic fin which helps it steer, stop and hover.

If it didn’t have a part such as the lateral line, one piece of his abilities would be gone. Say for instance, the lateral line was not there, it would not be able to sense prey and larger predators such as the shark. It would cause fish to be eaten. If it didn’t have a mouth it wouldn’t be able to eat and would die of starvation.

A fish reminds me of jelly like the one I caught on camp. It jiggled like jelly because it was trying to get air and couldn’t breathe.

Overall, fish are amazing because they can dive and swim in the water without taking a breath. I wish I could do that apart from not being able to go on land and being hunted by sharks.

The caudal fin is the main propelling fin on the fish’s body. The anal fin is the fin that makes the fish stable. The pectoral fin is the fin that allows the fish to move side to side.

If the fish didn’t have a nostril it would not be able to locate its food. If fish lose their caudal fin it would not be able to move.
